Fraser-Pryce Sprints into Record Books with World's Fastest 100m Time
Jamaica's Sprint Queen Reaches New Heights
Legendary sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has once again etched her name into history, becoming the first Jamaican woman to break the 10.70-second barrier in the 100m.
At the Lausanne Diamond League meet in August, Fraser-Pryce clocked a blistering 10.60 seconds, setting a new personal best and becoming the third-fastest woman in the event's history. This time is also the fastest women's 100m time in nearly 33 years. Fraser-Pryce's performance marks a remarkable return to the pinnacle of women's sprinting, as she has regained the dominance that she held between 2008 and 2015.
With this victory, Fraser-Pryce becomes the third woman to run under 10.70 seconds in the 100m, joining American Florence Griffith Joyner and compatriot Elaine Thompson-Herah. Her performance is a testament to her unwavering dedication and exceptional talent, solidifying her status as one of the greatest sprinters of all time.
